Kick-off for Promenade Concerts 2025

On Sunday, May 11, 2025 at 11 a.m., the Zollkapelle Nürnberg will perform in the music pavilion at Theresienstein. You are cordially invited!
The Nuremberg Customs Band is a musical unit of today's General Customs Directorate. It was founded in 1956 at the former main customs office in Hof. The musicians of the customs band perform their musical activities as "genuine" customs officers in addition to their official duties. The repertoire ranges from Bohemian-Bavarian brass music with polkas, waltzes and marches to evergreens, musical melodies and classic film music. The Zollkapelle is a particularly popular orchestra for the General Customs Directorate. It performs regularly as an orchestra, big band and in a small formation throughout northern Bavaria and beyond, not only at customs events but also at festivals and celebrations. Even at international engagements, the Zollkapelle, which currently consists of around 23 members, is a popular and welcome entertainer and always delights its audiences. Their conductor, Armin Scharnagl from Konnersreuth, and his orchestra are looking forward to your visit. As usual, Andrea Herbert will lead you through the program.
Admission is free.
