Scary fellows from Austria

Until December 22, 2024, Hof's old town will be transformed into a festive winter wonderland. Lovingly decorated market stalls are lined up around the Kugelbrunnen fountain and the Oberer Torplatz square, inviting visitors to linger and enjoy.

A special highlight of the coming week is the visit of the Krampuses from Hof near Salzburg. On Saturday evening, December 14, 2024 from 6 p.m., the scary and wild creatures from Hof's friendly town will be wreaking havoc at the Christmas market. With impressive masks and terrifying gestures, the group mingles with the market and creates an unforgettable spectacle. Year after year, this Austrian tradition delights visitors of all ages and underlines the friendship that has existed between Hof and Hof bei Salzburg for almost 35 years.

The program from 8 to 14 December

Directly at the ball fountain from 6 - 8 pm, Friday and Saturday until 9 pm. For children there is a daily children's program in the afternoon

Dec. 12.	Thursday	Students' Christmas - The party by students for students. You can get a discount on a mulled wine on presentation of your student ID.
Dec. 13	Friday	17:00: Hofer Landfrauenchor 18:00 Après-Ski-Party. Visitors in ski suits receive a discount on drinks.
14. Dec.	Saturday	16:00: Lichtla guided tour (registration at the tourist information office) 18:00: Krampus from Hof near Salzburg - an eerily beautiful spectacle
