Heat planning of the city of Hof

The city of Hof's heat planning is expected to be completed in March 2025.

The Heat Planning Act (WPG) obliges cities the size of Hof to present a municipal heat plan by June 30, 2028. Municipal heat planning gives citizens, businesses and energy suppliers certainty as to whether and which central heat supply they can count on locally.

The city of Hof began its municipal heating planning in March 2024. A processing time of 12 months is expected.

EGS-plan, Ingenieurgesellschaft für Energie-, Gebäude- und Solartechnik mbH, Gropiusplatz 10, 70563 Stuttgart, was commissioned by the Hof city council to draw up the municipal heating plan. The city receives 100% funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection as part of the National Climate Protection Initiative.

The necessary data is currently being collected on the basis of Section 3 WPG. Data on energy or fuel consumption and electricity consumption for heating purposes is collected and processed. The type and scope of the data collected are set out in Annex 1 to Section 15 WPG.
