Head of the Hof post office celebrates his 95th birthday

During her visit, Angela Bier emphasized the important role that Alfred Praller has played in the community: "It is a great honour for me to congratulate you on behalf of the city of Hof. Your work and your commitment to the city, especially through your many years of service at the post office and your support of your wife in her political work, have left their mark on Hof. I wish you continued good health and enjoyment in your beautiful garden."
Alfred Praller, born and raised in Marktredwitz, worked at various post offices in Straubing, Landshut and Regensburg after successfully completing his law studies, before taking over responsibility for the Hof post office in 1972. In 1961, he married the love of his life, Rosemarie, who later played an important role in the history of Hof. Rosemarie Praller was a member of the city council from 1984 to 2008 and was awarded the Golden Citizens' Medal in 2010 for her services. She passed away in 2013.
Today, at the age of 95, Alfred Praller enjoys the peace and beauty of his garden, which he tends himself with dedication. He also enjoys doing housework. His two sons, who do not live in Hof, visit him regularly, which gives him great pleasure. The city of Hof joins in the congratulations and wishes Alfred Praller many more happy and healthy years.
