Finnish evening in the public library
The Hof City Library, in cooperation with the German-Finnish Society Hof, invites you to an extraordinary evening on April 24, 2025 from 19:00 to 22:00, which is all about Finland. Under the motto "Discover Finland", you can expect a varied program that presents the fascinating culture of the Nordic country in all its facets.
Experience Finland with all your senses
The event offers numerous highlights that allow you to experience the land of a thousand lakes in a very special way:
- Finnish literature and music: let yourself be whisked away to special stories from our Finnish literature collection and test the sound of Finland with live accordion music presented by Adrian Stieglitz or at the listening station.
- Culinary discoveries: Sample selected specialties of Finnish cuisine.
- Finnish arts and crafts: If you like to get creative, the handicraft table is the place for you. Design your own Himmeli in typical Finnish style.
- Try out Finnish board games: Fun and socializing are also on the agenda. Try out classic Finnish board games and experience the special charm of this gaming tradition.
- Town twinning Hof-Joensuu: At the information table with expert advice you can talk about the history of this friendship.
