This year, the Department of Culture of the City of Hof is once again holding the facade competition under the motto "Hof bekennt Farbe" (Hof shows its colors).

Prizes will be awarded for renovations or redesigns carried out between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. An expert jury will evaluate the façade renovations. There are cash prizes and certificates of recognition for the owners.

The city administration asks all eligible homeowners to inform the Department of Culture, Freiheitshalle, Kulmbacher Straße 4, 95030 Hof, in writing, also by e-mail: kultur(at)stadt-hof.de, which properties have undergone a new façade design or renovation and which painting company carried out the work. Head of department Peter Nürmberger adds: "Reports from the painting companies are also welcome."

The prizes are worth a total of €1500. In addition, the Verschönerungsverein Botanischer Garten, Theresienstein und Hof e.V. is donating a generous special prize of €500. Martina Tögel, the chairwoman of the association, explains the considerable amount of prize money with the words "Hof residents who contribute to the beautification of our city should be rewarded".

The homeowners who have applied will be included in the competition.

The deadline for applications is April 15, 2025.
