Day of remembrance for the victims of flight and expulsion

The day of remembrance deliberately takes place on the United Nations World Refugee Day.

It not only honors the German displaced persons after the Second World War, but also reminds us of the fate of refugees worldwide today. In Hof, we also remember the time after 1945, when the city on the Saale was an important port of call for millions of displaced persons. To honor and commemorate the national day of remembrance for the victims of flight and expulsion, the city's buildings will be flagged on June 20, 2025.
