How the work will proceed

The construction work is scheduled to take approx. one week per road:

  • Day 1-2: The old asphalt surface course will be milled off by approx. 2-4 cm, paving components such as manholes and valve caps will be renewed or adapted.
  • Day 3: A new asphalt surface course of approx. 4 cm thickness is laid.
  • Day 4: Reworking, joint sealing and, if necessary, new markings are carried out.

The affected road sections will be fully closed during the construction work. Residents will receive a personalised information letter with details of the work approximately two weeks before the work begins. The tarmacing work can only be carried out in dry weather conditions; short-term postponements cannot be ruled out.

Information for road users

The city of Hof asks all citizens and road users for their understanding for the restrictions during the construction period. The aim is to permanently improve the traffic areas and sustainably maintain the infrastructure. The detailed construction phases and the planned time periods can be viewed on the Hof city website.
