City of Hof congratulates Karl Rambold

Mayor Eva Döhla personally congratulated Karl Rambold, former head of administration at the Hof district administration office, on his 95th birthday: "I am impressed by Mr. Rambold's life and his attachment to the region. I wish him continued health and God's blessing."

During their visit, they talked about current events in the city of Hof. Karl Rambold can look back on an extraordinary career in public service: from 1945 to 1992, he worked at the Hof district administration office, most recently as head of administration. His professional career began directly after the Second World War, when he looked after refugees and war victims. The district reform in 1972 and the expansion of educational and healthcare facilities are also among the milestones that he witnessed and helped to shape. In addition to his professional activities, Rambold was also involved in the Christian Association of Young People (CVJM), where he was committed to youth work. He was awarded the Federal Medal of Merit for his services.
