Changes to the dog tax

Dog tax is payable for dogs over four months old. The amount is always due on March 15. In November 2023, the city council decided on some changes to the tax rates, which will apply from 01.01.2024.

The cost for the first dog will continue to be 75 euros per year, while each additional dog will now be charged 100 euros. A tax rate of 600 euros per year must be paid for each fighting dog.

All residents of Hof affected by the change will soon receive a new dog tax notice. Detailed information can be found in the dog tax statutes.
