Asphalt program 2024 - Planned construction schedule

In the period from 07.08.2024 to the end of October 2024, six roads are scheduled for asphalting this year:

1. Bismarckstraße, from Sonnenplatz to Schillerstraße

2. Kurt-Schumacher-Platz, section Kurt-Schumacher-Platz/Bahnhofstraße

3. Epprechtsteinstraße, from Stelzenhofstraße to Luisenburgstraße

4. Stelzenhofstraße, from Fichtelgebirgsstraße to Schaumbergstraße (incl. intersection)

5. Alte Helmbrechtser Straße, in the area of the Göstrabach stream

6. Pirker Weg, in front of house no. 20

The most complex road section this year will be Bismarckstraße from Sonnenplatz to Schillerstraße.

In this area, the asphalt surface course will be milled off between 07.08.2024 and 30.08.2024, the underlying large stone paving will be removed and replaced with an asphalt base course.

Furthermore, the road inlets and fixtures of Stadtwerke Hof will be upgraded. Due to the bus traffic, the work must be carried out in two construction phases, each with half-side closures.

The first construction phase will take place from Sonnenplatz to Schillerstraße on the right-hand side (even house numbers) from 07.08.2024 to 16.08.2024.

The second construction phase concerns the left-hand area (odd house numbers) from 19.08.2024 to 30.08.2024.

In order to maintain public transport, a portable traffic light system will regulate traffic during this period. The traffic light system may cause minor delays to bus traffic.

It will not be possible for general road traffic to drive on Bismarckstraße in this section of road during this period. Access to the properties and parking lots will be guaranteed as far as possible.

However, temporary closures and restrictions are to be expected during the construction progress.

The area of Kurt-Schumacher-Platz/crossing to Bahnhofstraße will receive a new asphalt surface layer in the period from 28.08.2024 to 30.08.2024.

A detour route will be signposted for both renovation sections.

The execution dates for the other construction sections (Epprechtsteinstraße, Stelzenhofstraße, Alte Helmbrechtser Straße and Pirker Weg) have not yet been set at this point in time.
