Honored for a total of 125 years of service with the BRK
Three deserving BRK members were recently honored as part of the city of Hof's awards ceremony for volunteer citizens.
Gabriele Gemeinhardt has been involved in the Hof standby team since 1971. In these more than 50 years of service, she played a leading role in shaping the care service based in Hof at the time and expanded it accordingly. Since 1997, Gemeinhardt has been supported by her husband Hans-Wolfgang, who was honored for 25 years of service. Both are still active in the Hof standby service today.
Wolfgang Geier can also look back on 50 years of service. As a passionate boatman in the Hof water rescue team, he made a significant contribution to the training of young candidates. With great dedication, he took over the maintenance of the Hof local group's first lifeboat and helped with conversion and renovation work on the "Haisla" at Lettenbachsee.
