City of Hof honors winners of the 2023 city cycling competition

Together, the winning teams covered almost 50,000 kilometers, which is equivalent to more than one trip around the world.

City Cycling 2023 comes to an end with an impressive result. The winning teams have covered almost 50,000 kilometers together, which is more than one circumnavigation of the earth. All three teams received prize money of €250.

The gold medal went to the Dachser Hof team, which covered 18,762 kilometers, saving 3,039 kg of CO2. The team from RC Pfeil Hof followed in silver with 14,893 kilometers and a CO2 saving of 2,413 kilograms. The bronze medal went to the German Alpine Club Hof with 13,490 kilometers and a saving of 2,185 kilograms of CO2. The RC Pfeil revealed in passing that the 2023 team had cycled a total of around 400,000 kilometers, but that not all members had logged their kilometers.

Mayor Eva Döhla honored the winning teams personally in the town hall and emphasized the sporting and ecological importance of the campaign, which promotes cycling and gives it radiance.
