Senior trips to Selb and Burgk

This year, the Hof senior citizens' trips will take you to Selb to the Porzellanikon, with lunch at the Egerstau restaurant, and to Burgk to visit the castle. Registration is possible from March 19, 2024.

Departure is at 10:00 a.m. from the parking lot of the Freiheitshalle Hof. Return around 17:00.

The trip to Burgk is aimed at people who are able to walk, as the tour of the castle is not barrier-free. It is a 15-minute walk to the castle and then there are over 60 steps to climb in the stairwell. "We recommend the trip to Selb for people with limited mobility," says Dr. Sandra Häupler, senior citizens' representative for the city of Hof.

Costs and registration

The cost of the trip is 22 euros per person. Holders of volunteer cards receive a 30 percent discount and recipients of basic income support receive a 50 percent discount on the ticket price.

Registration is required and will be possible from March 19, 2024. Tickets will be sold from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registrations received before March 19 will not be considered.
